It appears to be confirmed--Roman Ragazzi aka Dror Barak has killed himself. I was really hoping that this was an Internet rumor. I actually knew him and he was quite a nice guy. Im not going to pretend he was my best friend, but I was a training client of his for about 6 months a few years ago. During that time he seemed well adjusted and happy, but who knows what goes on behind closed doors.
I don't know if he would have been horrified or happy about a porn tribute, but I always thought he was amazing, and like it or not he has a bit of immortality now because of his work.
I have never understood suicide. Even in my darkest days it has never occured to me, but I guess i can just count myself as lucky there. Whatever drove him to this I hope he now has some peace.
